Ms. Sharon Grey
Vice President of Quality Assurance and Engineering
Sharon Grey is Vice President of Quality Assurance and Engineering for JDA Aviation Technology Solutions. She has over 20 years aviation experience, mainly at a Part 121 major air carrier. She has an extensive background in Quality systems and regulatory oversight. Sharon held Director Positions at a Part 121 major air carrier in Technical Operations responsible for Quality Assurance, Inspection, Regulatory Compliance (Airworthiness and Operations), Aircraft Records, Technical Publications, Engineering Services, Aircraft Maintenance Programs and Component Configuration. Her tenure in an airline-operating environment (Boeing, Airbus and Embraer aircraft) has gained her diverse experience in developing and managing technical programs as well as the position of Technical Operations company liaison to the FAA. She holds an Airframe and Powerplant License.
Sharon has experience implementing many programs at an air carrier to include ATOS, an enhanced Quality Assurance program and Internal Evaluation Program for Maintenance and Operations. Additionally, she redefined processes for development of engineering and maintenance documents to introduce human factors considerations and efficiencies; added oversight programs to address specific challenges of outsourced heavy maintenance as well as vendor quality audit programs for repair stations and aircraft parts suppliers. During an airline merger, she led a Publications and Technical Writing team to combine over 50 company manuals. Her experience performing audits as an ISO-9001 auditor and designated C.A.S.E. air carrier consortium auditor includes; maintenance operations internal processes, safety systems, line maintenance, aircraft conformity, station operations, repair stations, parts suppliers and fuel vendors. She developed benchmark programs, as measured by national FAA audit teams and DOD, in the areas of Quality Assurance, Quality Control and Internal Evaluation.
